Rustic chic in Muskoka.
It’s funny how the mind works. A single image evokes so many memories…especially when they’re set to music. As a performer, you’re always tuned to a higher pitch, so to speak, trying to take in as much as you can and bring it back to the moment.
Allison and Andrew’s wedding at Brooklands Farm (Bracebridge, ON, Muskoka) brings back a lot of memories. They were so appreciative, down-to-earth and fun. They exposed me to some new music; requesting ‘First Day of my Life’ by Bright Eyes for their processional.
Playing at Brooklands Farm is also an incredible pleasure. It’s a big open space, which means you can be far away from the speakers and turn the guitars up a bit. The natural acoustics are beautiful here. Water. Wood. Concrete.
Another great day being part of such a special event.

The acoustic guitar sound added the perfect ambiance to our rustic-chic barn wedding and all of our guests raved about the mix of modern and traditional songs that were a part of your repertoire. We were thrilled that you learned a song for our ceremony processional in such a short time. It sounded as though you had been playing the song for years.
Not only was the sound amazing but you were too! You were extremely flexible and able to adjust your setup when it started to rain just as the ceremony started.
