It has been a great year.
Things started out with a bang in May, and lasted right through the beginning of November. Going through the calendar and photos, it all seems like a bit of a blur, but slowly, all these great moments come back to you.
This season saw a wide variety of performances. Of course, there were a lot of weddings. It was exciting to play at a number of new venues, including Taboo Resort (Muskoka), the Berkeley Church (Toronto), the Museum of Nature (Ottawa), Queen’s University (Kingston), and Deerhurst Resort (Muskoka). Equally enjoyable were some of the familiar faces at venues such as Oliver & Bonacini’s Windermere House (Muskoka) and Le Select Bistro (Toronto).
I took part in some great private events this year. They are always interesting, each with their own unique blend of musical formats and song choices. Highlights included performances at Steam Whistle Brewing (Toronto), The Westin (Ottawa), Trent University (Peterborough), Wildfire Golf Club (Stoney Lake), and the Pillar & Post (Vintage Hotels – Niagara-on-the-Lake).
I also had the tremendous honour of performing for HRH the Duke of York.
Rounding out the summer were some other exciting endeavours. I had the chance to work with Vintage Green Records’ recording artist Roveena for her acoustic performance in June. And, as always, there were also a couple of small engineering projects on the go.
More updates from 2014 coming soon.
