It’s nice to coast every once in a while. Just sit back and let someone else do the driving. It seems harder and harder to find these moments; with rapid-fire technology pulling our attention everywhere except where it needs to be.
The last couple of weeks have been awesome. The opportunity to play at some of Ontario’s finest owner-operated resorts is an incredible pleasure. There’s such a difference. A very authentic sense of being welcome; that people care. It shows up in so many subtle ways; in everything from the food, to the easy conversation amongst staff and guests. New friends are easily made.
February 19th at Irwin Inn on Stoney Lake was, as always, a pleasure. Many thanks to Patti, Dennis, Jennifer and all the staff. This was followed by an great weekend at Sir Sam’s Inn & Waterspa near Haliburton. The Inn graciously accommodated my wife and I for two nights. The atmosphere, accommodations, dining and facilities were outstanding. Many thanks to JT Orr, Boden and the rest of the staff.
Yes, it is definitely nice to coast before the next uphill grind…
