I love it when couples get really involved with their wedding music.

Leann and Lee had very creative song choices for their major cues: Led Zeppelin’s The Rain Song, The Beach Boys’ God Only Knows, and Stevie Wonder’s Overjoyed. They were very eclectic, dramatic songs that started the day out with a unique flavour. Now, every time I hear those signature introduction chords from The Rain Song, I can’t help but think of their wedding day.

By far the best part for me, though, came at the end of the cocktail hour. Lee and I performed the Eagles’ Hotel California, with Lee taking care of all the lead guitar. He is a great guitarist, with an incredible rhythmic feel you don’t hear very often. We rehearsed a number of times leading up to the wedding, and he nailed some very difficult guitar parts. It was a blast.

George Restaurant was a great place to work. It’s an amazing collection of extremely well-designed rooms. Everything felt intimate without being crowded. And the flow from room to room was amazing.

Definitely an unforgettable day, and an honour to be a part of it.
